As a result, they have invested in an array of strategies to support young children’s physical, cognitive, social and emotional readiness for starting school. "Voluntary Prekindergarten gives children a jump start by preparing them for school and enhancing their pre-reading, pre-math, language and social skills. By developing the skills children need to become strong readers and students at an early age, children are more likely to be successful in school". VPK is free from 9am-12pm and begins each year in August. Children must be 4 by September 1st to qualify. Click here for more information on applying
