Family owned & operated since 2005, Denise turned her love & passion for children into a career by opening one of the largest childcare centers in Homestead, FL. Her hard work and dedication was apparent in the community. Denise went the extra mile to assure the quality of services they provided and gained accreditation through APPLE and Gold Seal accreditation. She participated in programs for the betterment of staff and children. Her daughter Nicole received her bachelors degree in Psychology from Florida International University before completing her Directors credential in Early Childhood Education. Following in her Mother's footsteps, Nicole operated the center for many years and continues to lead her team with the help of her leadership team. In 2024, we opened our second location, Homestead Christian Academy at Agape! Welcome to our HCA family!

All enrolled students Infants-5 years of age learn under either one of our certified curriculums, Houghton Mifflin and The Creative Curriculum. Houghton Mifflin Pre-K Curriculum is approved by the State of Florida and meets all Florida Educational Standards.This curriculum provides emphasis on Early Literacy skills required at Kindergarte

Creative Curriculum is known for it's hands on content-rich approach. This curriculum is used in our Infant, Toddler, Two's and Three year old classrooms. Creative Curriculum balances teacher planned and child initiated learning and has been a great success throughout our center.
We are a Christian Academy and we believe it's important to incorporate the Lord. Children learn and recite a short prayer before meals and snacks, learn bible stories and songs.

Our passion is watching your children grow and learn and we feel education is a joint commitment between home and school. Our team includes 11 teachers, an on site chef, Assistant Director and Director. All staff are certified through the Department of Children and Families and hold Level 2 FDLE background screenings. In addition, staff hold active First- Aid/ CPR training and yearly In- Service hours related to Early Childhood Education. When someone asks what makes us successful- our answer is simple, our team is loving, compassionate and we treat the children like family.

Maria is currently a private consultant working with early learning centers as well as local and state agencies serving our youngest children. She is dedicated to working with programs as they strive to meet the needs of the most vulnerable children and families.

Her passion for children, education, and community outreach fuels her mission to help little learners thrive. She believes that early childhood teachers are the foundation of a child's development, laying the groundwork for lifelong success.
When she's not in the classroom, you'll likely find Mariena lost in a good book, embracing her love for reading. She brings warmth, energy, and a fun-loving spirit to everything she does — especially when it involves her favorite color, blue!
